What the app stores about a shop

  • The shop's myshopify.com address, name, currency and primary web address.
  • Access and refresh tokens issued by Shopify, used only to read product prices and write the fields described below.
  • For each product and variant: its Shopify id, title, SKU, price and compare-at price, and a dated record of each change to those prices.
  • The seller and grievance officer details you type into the app.
  • Your self-audit answers, notes and the certificate you issue.
  • Your settings and which plan the shop is on.

What the app does not store

The app requests access to products only. It does not request, receive or store customer names, emails, addresses, orders or payment information. It sets no cookies and loads no trackers on your storefront, and its storefront blocks make no network requests.

What the app writes to your shop

Prior prices are saved to a product metafield, and your seller details and certificate to app metafields, so your theme can display them. Product declarations are metafields that you fill in yourself in Shopify admin; they stay in your shop.

Where data is kept

On Cloudflare (Workers and D1 database). Cloudflare may process data in data centres outside India.

How long it is kept, and deletion

For as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall, access tokens are deleted at once. Shopify then sends a shop deletion request, normally 48 hours later, and we delete every record held for the shop. You can ask for earlier deletion by email.

The free store check on this website

When you enter a store address, our server fetches a few public pages of that store (the home page, one product page, contact pages and the public product catalogue) and looks for certain words. The result is cached for ten minutes and is not otherwise stored. We do not ask for or record who ran the check.

This website

The site sets no cookies and uses no advertising trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps standard request logs.

Sharing

We do not sell or share shop data. It is processed by Cloudflare (hosting) and Shopify (the platform the app runs in) and by nobody else, unless the law requires disclosure.

Your choices

You can correct seller details and audit answers in the app at any time, export your price history as CSV, and delete everything by uninstalling. For anything else, write to us.
