Setting up, start to finish
- Install and open the app. It reads your catalogue once; this takes a minute or two for a large store.
- Add the product page blocks. In Shopify admin go to Online Store, Themes, Customize. Open a product page, choose Add block, then Apps, and add Prior price, MRP line and Product information. Drag them under the price and save.
- Fill in Seller details in the app, then add the Seller and grievance info block to your contact page (Customize, open the page, Add section, Apps).
- Fill in product declarations. Open a product in Shopify admin and scroll to Metafields. To do many at once, select products in the product list and choose Bulk edit, then add the MRPReady columns.
- Do the self-audit in the app, issue the certificate, and add the Self-audit certificate block to a page or your footer.
Common questions
The prior price is not showing on a product
- The line shows only while the compare-at price is higher than the price.
- If the offer was already running when you installed, the app has no earlier price. Open Prior price in the app and enter it, or switch on "lowest price tracked".
- On the Free plan, prior prices show for 25 products. The app lists any that are over the limit.
- Shoppers browsing in a currency other than your store currency do not see the line, because the recorded price is in your store currency.
- After a price change, allow a few minutes.
The MRP label does not appear with the "MRP label on prices" embed
That embed targets the price markup used by Dawn and themes built on it. On other themes use the MRP line block instead, or paste your theme's price selector into the embed's settings.
Can I change the wording?
Yes. Every block has its text in the theme editor's settings, including the prior-price sentence and all row labels.
Does it slow my store?
The blocks are rendered by Shopify with the rest of the page. They add under 6 KB of CSS and JavaScript and make no network requests.
How do I remove everything?
Uninstall the app. The blocks disappear from your theme, and stored data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. Product declaration fields you filled in remain in your shop, since they are yours.
